A friend who I once gave a lift to a festival took one look in the boot of my car at the empty Jack Daniel’s bottles, sleeping bag, cameras and stepladder before announcing: “So this is the life of a photographer.” Going out late, waking up late and heading off to work again straight away. There’s the glam: when work and the social collide.

Some more club-tastic shots from the Garage Unders this year. I’m currently (attempting) scanning a few 35mm rolls that I developed today. Since when did the bloody things get so curly and difficult to handle? Grr. Give me 120 any day. There’ll be a pile more of these shots to come before the year is out.

When did partying become such a professional thing? When it becomes your job to get drunk and embrace the lifestyle, it loses a bit of its magic. I’d like to party properly again sometime soon. Abandoned warehouse, crazy flat party, drunken clubbing in a different city… I’m game.

I’ve not posted any club photos in ages, but rest assured… I’ve still been plugging away. This was Sacred Betrayal, playing at Voodoo - the Cathouse under 18s.  I’m pretty sure his t-shirt wasn’t a reference to me. .. about 95% sure. The thing about being a freelancer, or self employed in any way, is that there’s no such thing as...

Privacy on the web, and what to do about it.
As the attacks on Wikileaks, and the response from Anonymous has developed, I’ve begun to think again about the issue of privacy on the web. As a generation, it’s something that we often scoff about - privacy? When your whole life is available online in a handy profile format via somewhere like Facebook, questions of privacy seem a bit trivial. It’s here already. Who cares if...

I actually developed not one, but two films today. I know, I’m just as shocked. I wouldn’t get the hopes up too high though… from looking at the negatives, not many of them are going to be all that spectacular. I hope I’m wrong mind you.

‘Anonymous’ has become increasingly more infamous in the past year or two for stunts such as swamping the MTV European Music Awards with votes which saw Rick Astley carried to victory as part of something of an in-joke for those embedded in cyber culture, or the more serious concerted actions against the ‘Church’ of Scientology for their attempts at internet censorship. ...
