It’s amazing how what you call a situation does to the way people perceive it.
If you were to just hang out with friends and take photos, then there’d be no expectations from them as to how they should act or what they’ve to do, or how to sit, or any of that.
As soon as you arrange to ‘take photos’, and especially if that happens to be with some sort of medium format beast, then people feel like they need instruction.
The problem is, if you don’t let people know that you plan to take photos, then it’s much harder to actually get into the situations where you can do it.
How on earth do you find the balance? If anyone knows, feel free to enlighten me.
