I was due to receive a rather special photographic-related item in the post today. For the first time in ages, I was actually excited enough to remember what it felt like when you were a kid on Christmas Eve.

It was all set – special delivery next day ‘guaranteed’ by 1pm. Come 11.30am, I check the tracker online, and apparently the item’s been delivered, and signed for by.. well. some random.

Turns out that the Royal Mail have screwed up – as for the item? Who knows where it is.

Their customer service was terrible – apparently 48 hours is required for the Glasgow delivery office to respond to them. What?!

I went up myself, and the guys were dead helpful, and are going to let me know tomorrow morning when the vans are back – as well as getting their manager’s direct number.

Despite this, I’m far from impressed. I had a whole day and night of playing about with it lined up. It’s probably just as well it didn’t arrive though – I have work to do for uni.

Here is Kaylie in Poland – unimpressed at the ‘melon’ martini, which was actually a ‘lemon’ martini.
