Just when I thought that I was off 35mm for good, Its saviour is here.
When every photographer initially finds out what aperture is and what it can do, they start the search for faster and faster glass.
The f0.95 ‘dream lens’ was just that – till I spotted a deal on eBay.
The fastest 35mm lens made is finally part of my arsenal. It’s as if it’s Christmas!
I still need to work out the meter – I always guesstimate in my head, but at such a wide aperture, I’m not sure I’ll be all that accurate initially.
The rangefinder’s a bit off vertically as well, so it’ll need to be adjusted (anyone got a pin wrench?)
But, I am very happy.
(This is what the Royal Mail lost the other day. You can see why I was displeased.)
