Back in the early days of the internet, before there were sites like Myspace, email was the means of communication for the cool kids that were ahead of their time.
Interpals was one place you could search for people all over and email them. People were extremely paranoid about young people on the web, so the whole thing was very sanitised.
This is how I met Jenna – I remember her running up to me one Saturday on Buchanan Street and explaining who she was. I thought she was the most beautiful girls I’d ever seen – and she was a geek too! A proper one, not just the populist trendy kind. We had websites before people knew what websites were. Hoo yeah.
