A night out with a few of the best, and most unassuming photographers around is always a good thing. Meeting up and spending time with people whose work you think is incredible and being able to unashamedly discuss lenses and camera bodies at a level that no-one else would understand is good – you need to get it out your system. The beauty of these guys though, is that none of it is taken too seriously. Gorbot told us that he’d only brought his Crumpler bag because he needed to bring more than one camera to try look cool in front of ‘us people’, and we poked fun at our own habits and leanings.
Despite that, the bar-staff probably thought we were boring geeks. If only they knew the value of the few cameras that were strewn on the table.
