I’m off on tour with Hold Your Horse Is again.. starting in Newcastle.
Wandering about the Quayside whilst they were still to arrive, it was cool how many similarities there is between Glasgow and the ‘toon’. Although, I’m not sure what the logic is in having so many similar ‘Millennium bridges’ across the UK is.. it just ends up rendering everywhere that little bit more generic.
I’m disappointed that I never really found any proper, full-on Geordie accents though. I was hoping for some hot, young Cheryl Cole-esque action. I never did understand why she was ashamed of her twang, or tried to change it. Stick with the local dialect! Some of us are into that sort of thing 😉
