UKMattician Christmas Dinner 2016 – Edinburgh

Working remotely is great, but one of the big downsides of being part of a company that is spread out all over the world is that you miss out on the regular social side of things… including that great tradition of the office Christmas party. In my old job, it was the highlight of the year. Thankfully, we have our own version at Automattic, where people in a certain region get together. Last year, those of us in the UK met up in York, and this year, we had a night out in Edinburgh.

There was ice skating, mulled wine, curry, and whisky. Not necessarily in that order. PROTIP: don’t go skating in a kilt.

I didn’t take too many pictures, but it was nice to see everybody. Until next year!
