Coming to the end of a three month sabbatical I had from work, I took the penultimate week to head over to Canada to visit my parents. We spent time exploring Nova Scotia – touring the local vineyards, drinking coffee, and enjoying the sun. I made use of the opportunity to catch up on some reading and writing that I wanted to get done as well, cider in hand. Last time I was here I shot everything on digital, so this time I opted for 35mm, through my trusty Rollei 35S. The houses and landscape are all so colourful and different to Scotland, with their own quirks and personality, so I wanted to capture a bit of that – even if the results are a bit different to what I would usually do. Sometimes I think I spend too much time looking for ‘photos’ and not enough time just taking pictures of things I find interesting, that actually really give a flavour of what a place is like. Anyway, here they are.
