The calendar has now firmly ticked over into a new year, after an especially busy festive period. Throughout December and into January there have been plenty of great times with good friends and family. The traditional ‘quiet’ of the first month for many not applying to our lives – instead punctuated with anniversaries, birthdays, and attempts to get together with those who aren’t necessarily in our immediate circles. My schedule and routine has been turned upside down – a holiday without holiday – and I can feel both my body and soul ready to come out the other side; to find more of a semblance of self and identity that isn’t tied to the obligations of annual festivities. Looking forward to longer days. Spring time. Summer. Space to be… while also appreciating everything that’s come. I’ve been making more of a deliberate effort to start documenting my life again. Pushing through the feelings of inadequacy or self-consciousness associated with carrying a camera to grab snippets and moments. Some of which are below.
