Andrea

Just when you thought that you’d worked your way through every possible sleeping pattern oddity that you could, a new one creeps up on you out of nowhere.

The latest abnormality is that I seem to be waking up about three or four hours before I set my alarm. Today that meant switching on like a lightbulb at around 9AM, even though I only got to sleep at about 4.

Possibly because I’m sleeping lighter, I’ve been having some really crazy, vivid dreams in addition. If that’s what goes on in my mind when I’m unconscious it’s no wonder I don’t sleep properly! Maybe I should try some of that lucid dreaming stuff – where you consciously recognise that it’s not reality and manipulate things to how you want.

Who knows what I’d come up with.

The early starts aren’t necessarily a bad thing though. Waking up in the morning means you feel more productive, and actually have daylight time to spur you on to do things you’ve been putting off. (Plus – you can always have a nap later)

Today, that has so far meant that I’ve scanned and processed some of the Polaroids from when Andrea was round last week. Despite being kept cool and stored properly, some of the films had failed completely and were turning out ridiculously underexposed, which was a shame. That said, I’m not sure how much you can really expect from packs which have been expired since 2004.

There’s not many, but I really like this one.

Hasselblad 500CM – Polaroid Back
Fuji FP-3000B (expired 2004)
