Geez, I haven’t blogged in ages. To be fair, December is always a terribly busy month, and I’ve hardly had time to do anything except work.
However, I did manage to scrape together a weekend to head down to Leeds. The band Castrovalva were playing with Exit International, and it seemed like a good excuse to meet up with some people that help contribute to my new-music site popdodger.
We were staying with the totally nuts, but wonderfully generous Kat. She took us into her home and fed us epic Sri Lankan curry, as well as putting up with out sometimes ridiculous behaviour.
Here’s to you Kat.
I won’t bang on about the actual gig, as that’s what popdodger is for – you can read about that over there.
I’d dug out my old LC-A after repairing it to give it a bash. We’ll see if it actually worked out soon enough.
Lee and myself seem to meet in unusual circumstances.
This is Cat Keller. She is lovely. She has her own music site here.
This is my creepy massage face.
There’s nothing worse than discovering that the beer you’ve bought is only 2.8% – there’s only one thing it’s good for…
breakfast.
All in all it was a relatively tame weekend. Lack of money managed to get in the way of true debauchery, and I think we were all fairly worn out from our respective lives.
I’ll need to go back and cause some real trouble.
