Today we mourn the loss of my old friend, the MoMA Sky Umbrella.
It has starred in some of my favourite pictures.
I bought it after spotting Rachael Leigh Cook sporting it in a random independent film I bought on a whim from eBay, importing it at great expense from the US of A.
Today, on a walk through Glasgow’s Queen’s Park, I foolishly left it behind after a stop to faff about on the swings. By the time I had realised, it was too late. My umbrella was gone.
