The days are getting longer, and the sun is occasionally peeking out from behind the clouds, so yesterday, Grace and I took a trip down the coast to Largs with our friend Al.
The day started out with pishing rain, but inevitably the schizophrenic Scottish weather turned things around and it was actually pretty pleasant.
Who doesn’t love a town that has dedicated water bowls for dogs?
We searched all over for the crazy golf place, but apparently it doesn’t exist any more. Poor show.
We did find the boating pond though, which brought back some fuzzy memories of visiting Largs in the summer time with my granda when I was a wee boy.
I long for a game of crazy golf.
Here is some local guerilla art:
We – of course – braved the seagulls to have fish and chips by the sea, taking in the salty air.
We opted to go for a local chippy, rather than the Blue Lagoon. The newspaper wrapping was grand, but in general it was just awright.
and obviously followed it up with some Nardini’s ice cream, and a stroll along the promenade.
A particular highlight was this graffiti we stumbled upon. If anybody knows who Gary Benson is, or why he smokes tea, do let me know.
