Last week I saw some ultra colourful pictures pop up on Facebook, and was pleasantly surprised to discover that it was from an exhibition in Glasgow. It was being held in a place I’d never heard before – the Modern Institute in the Trongate. Grace and I decided to pop in for a look, and the first thing you see as you pass the otherwise rather drab street is this bright explosion of yellow bizarreness:
Inside, the space has a bunch of different, surreal paintings and sculptures. Each room has cut-outs which give you different perspectives on the pieces as you go. There are no explanatory signs or plaques… just a whole lot of shapes and colours.
If you’re in the area I would definitely check it out. It’s free, but only on for another couple of weeks.
The art didn’t stop there, as we spotted this oddity on the street afterwards.
