Since all of our holidays have been cancelled this year (forever?) we took a few days out to explore Leith. Despite having been to Edinburgh countless times, I’d never ventured down to this part of the town – and it seemed like as good an excuse as any. The dog of course accompanied us, and we took advantage of the various dog friendly ‘establishments’. Even with the restrictions, I was pleasantly surprised. While Edinburgh is undeniably beautiful, the transient nature of its more familiar parts can mean that it is difficult to feel at home there. In contrast, Leith retained the city’s charm, but also seemed more like somewhere you could become a ‘local’. Has it won me over to the East Coast? Perhaps…
Below is a bunch of pictures. Mostly of food, drink, dugs, and bars. On digital, for a change.
Looks like a great trip! The pics are amazing! I missed Edinburgh (it’s my hometown) and thank you for sharing this and showing the culture and beautiful scenes there ❤️❤️
