This face is the face of how to party.
I’ve been taking the 50mm f1.4 along the past few club nights, which is something I usually avoid for a few reasons. The layout of the Cathouse, couple with the practically non-existent light means that the candid approach to photo-taking doesn’t quite work like it does in other venues.
I’m going to persevere anyway. It means having to carry two camera bodies around though, which is a bit of a pain when it’s busy. We’ll see how things pan out.
The old flash and drag approach works much better in these settings I find.
If I do end up going the low-light approach, I might be tempted to get an 85mm f1.8; the expenditure on which I would rather avoid!
