Last week I headed off to drive some old pals ‘Slime City’ on a mini tour of the south-West. We stopped off in London, Cardiff, and a wee place called Aberdare. I didn’t take too many pictures – partly because I was driving, but also because the Leica rangefinder isn’t especially good for gig shots. At times like these I do miss my old Canon rig, but I might just need to invest in an auto-focus lens for the Sony if I’m going to be shooting bands with any kind of regularity… I did put together a mini video ‘blog’ though, which you can find at the end of this post.
I’ve been on a few tours in my time, but not for a few years, and doing it again was good fun (well, in the sense that touring is always boring, but also strangely good fun due to the shared sense of boredom you have with those around you). You should check out Slime City’s music on their bandcamp, as well as the wonderfully bizarre Head Noise, who put on the gigs in the first place.
