Japan 2019: 35mm Colour, Part Two.

This final set of 35mm pictures from the month I spent in Japan are an interesting lot, filled with imperfections. There are light leaks, colour shifts, and overlapping frames – thanks to expired film, troublesome cameras, and (my own) wonky development practices.

  1. Reblogged this on Paul Houlihan and commented:
    I love these!

  2. I love the look of film on these shots, even with the imperfection, or maybe because of it, in the form of the red on the left of the images. I’m in Japan now so I have a better appreciation of the photos you took here. This is an interesting country for sure and you captured it well.

  3. Love how raw this is – I feel like so many travel photos all have the same look (impossibly saturated with color and contrast) and the beauty of the places lose their impact after a while. This is refreshing.

    1. Thank you very much! That means a lot.
