Music has taken up the vast majority of my time, energy, and interest over the past few months. Making it. Performing it. Exploring it. The times that I have spent with friends or family, I’ve had almost no interest in whipping out a camera. It has been a time of transition in many ways, and perhaps years of fulfiling that role have left me feeling jaded. Sometimes, it’s nice to take a step back and allow moments and experiences to happen without the urge to document them – and the presence of a camera increasingly feels intrusive in a culture soaked with Instagram reels and TikTok updates. I don’t want to cut that part of me off completely though, so it’s perhaps just a matter of finding a balance.
Here are some pictures from the past few months, on occasions where I did return to form in some way. Gigs, birthdays, weddings, and other snapshots of life. You fill in the blanks.
